The Ocean Affairs Council was established in Kaohsiung City on April 28, 2018. It mainly plans, promotes, and implements the integration of ocean affairs and ocean policies. The Ocean Affairs Council is the first central ministry to have been set up in Southern Taiwan. Adjacent to the Port of Kaohsiung, it symbolizes the government’s starting with an ocean-oriented mindset and its determination to be devoted to marine development.
