The primary purpose of this plan is to conduct 142 survey researches on marine cultural heritage in eastern and central Taiwan, which encompass Hsinchu County, Hsinchu City, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua City, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Hualien County, Taitung County, and Kinmen County. The other purpose of this plan is to check the unregistered marine cultural heritage of eastern and central Taiwan that possesses potential. The scope of “traditional knowledge and practices” will be a priority, while the scope of “non-traditional knowledge and practices” will be a secondary consideration. This plan has collected 5 cases of “traditional knowledge and practices”, and 65 cases of “non-traditional knowledge and practices” regarding marine cultural heritage. Last, this plan proposes 2 recommendations for the Ocean Affairs Council.
