This study tends to construct the safety management strategy of marine recreation activities through the four stages, that is, literature reviewing and data collection, expert in-depth interviews, local symposiums and focus groups, and reporting and results consolidation.
Along with various methods, e.g. documenting materials, in-depth interviewing, local stakeholders’ conversations, expert focus discussion etc., this study collects and summarizes the related stakeholders’ and experts’ opinions to provide the suggestions for the safety management mechanism and strategy of marine recreation activities and put forward the public-private cooperation mechanism of the safety maintenance of national water recreation activities, so as to serve as the referential basis for Taiwan’s promotion of the safety planning and management of marine recreation activities.
