The council aims to subsidize academic institutions, research agencies, and marine technology companies to carry out projects related to marine science and technology research and technology exchange. These directions establish the qualification criteria for grant recipients, required documents for grant applications, assessment criteria and procedures, disbursement and management of grant funds, as well as other compliance matters. Hence, the "Ocean Affairs Council's Directions for Marine Science and Technology Project Grants" are hereby established
