The Ocean Challenge, initiated by Ocean Affairs Council, is jointly organized in collaboration with American Institute in Taiwan Kaohsiung Branch Office, Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Kaohsiung Office, Manila Economic and Cultural Office, and Embassy of the Republic of Palau. The Forum encourages young people from around the world to harness ocean-related elements and innovative thinking to propose practical solutions to contemporary ocean crises and challenges.
Since its inaugural event in 2019, the Forum has attracted nearly 1,000 young participants from 28 countries across Asia, Oceania, Europe, Africa, and Latin America. Through proposal development, hands-on implementation, and international exchange, participants have actively contributed to the collective effort of protecting our oceans.
We look forward to engaging even more young people from Taiwan and around the world, leveraging their creativity and initiative to enhance ocean resilience and jointly achieve the goal of sustainable ocean development.
