On September 25, 2025 — marking the 10th anniversary of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development — the Ocean Affairs Council hosted the launch ceremony for the 2025 National Ocean Policy White Paper at The One @ Taipei 101. The event was honored by the presence of Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao, Minister Bi-Ling Kuan of the Ocean Affairs Council, Minister Li Yang of the Ministry of Sports, and other distinguished guests representing the shared vision of a Safe Ocean, a Sustainable Ocean, and an Ocean of Shared Prosperity. Together, they witnessed the unveiling of this comprehensive blueprint, the culmination of over a year of inter-ministerial collaboration among ocean-related agencies.
    Grounded in the principle of resilience, the White Paper articulates three overarching policy objectives — a Safe Ocean, a Sustainable Ocean, and an Ocean of Shared Prosperity — to steer Taiwan toward becoming a resilient and forward-looking maritime nation.
