On July 24, 2025, the Coast Guard Administration (CGA) held the signing ceremony of the Taiwan–Somaliland Coast Guard Cooperation Agreement. The agreement was formally signed by CGA Minister and Administrative Deputy Minister of the Ocean Affairs Council, Chang Chung-lung, and Commander of the Somaliland Coast Guard, Admiral Ahmed Hurre Hariye. The ceremony was witnessed by Abdirahman Dahir Adam Bakal, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland, and Kuan Bi-ling, Minister of the Ocean Affairs Council, symbolizing a solid achievement in Taiwan’s advancement of maritime diplomacy.
