The International Maritime Rescue Federation (IMRF) held its G6 Mass Rescue Operations (MRO) Conference from June 15 to 17, 2025, in collaboration with the Swedish Sea Rescue Society (SSRS). The conference focused on the challenges of search and rescue (SAR) operations under the impacts of climate change, psychological safety in decision-making, and cross-sectoral collaboration. Representatives from around the world exchanged insights and best practices, with the program including both live field exercises and case studies designed to enhance the effectiveness of maritime SAR response. Through active participation in this international forum, our organization continues to strengthen Taiwan’s maritime search and rescue policy planning and operational capabilities, while fostering system innovation and cross-border coordination.
