This year's Our Ocean Conference (OOC) was hosted by Panama, and Taiwan’s delegation was headed by Julia Hsiang-Wen Huang, the Director-General of the Ocean Conservation Administration, and consisted of 13 members from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (including the Taiwan’s representative to Panama), the OCA (including the OCA and the NAMR), and the International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF). This year, the main focus was on participation in official side events (with President Chen of the NAMR as a panelist speaker) and engaging in bilateral exchanges with friendly nations and like-minded countries on the sidelines; seven ocean-related commitments were proposed and three were endorsed by the Conference.
